Voila
Paris --- Here’s Paris!
Go
easy on me folks when it comes to spelling/grammar errors. After getting about
4 hours of sleep I work on the blog after bed checks. So please be kind to your
leader. Merci Beaucoup!
Many
delegates have already faced their first challenge – how to operate a European
shower. Some rooms had more water on the
floor than in the tub. After
a French breakfast, which included delicious croissants, we began our guided
tour of Paris. As we were waiting for
our city guide, Miriam and Lauren hopped off the bus to dash into a local
patisserie to bring back treats. Baguettes for all! During
lunch some students chose Cordon Bleu, while others enjoyed salade a la
francaise. And we can’t forget about
the snails! Escargot – Bon Appetite!!
Stops
on the city tour included the huge and beautiful Gothic Cathedral, Notre Dame, and a
promenade down the famous Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triompe. In
the afternoon students explored the granddaddy of all Palaces – Versailles! One
could lose one’s head looking at so much grandeur! (There’s a joke in there somewhere -- think Louis the 16th and Marie
Antoniette.) Sorry folks, it’s late.
Enjoy
the photos!

Merci for the delicious French bread.
It's surreal to share the wonders of Paris with two former 2nd grade students.
Ashley and Jillian, vous etes formidable!
Cordon Bleu anyone?
Escargot
Restaurant for dinner -- I guess they knew we had Australian Boomerang delegates in the mix.
