Rome to Home

ARRIVEDERCI, ROMA!

Sharing highlights of the program at our final delegation meeting

Auf Wiedersehen, Adam!

                                                                 Ciao, Francesco!

The Three Musketeers plus one!

Welcome back to the USA!

Parents and Families, it has been a true pleasure to travel and work with your child during these past three weeks. Both Karla and I have been impressed by our delegates' behavior and outstanding citizenship. They were always prompt, respectful, and polite. Our Kern County youth have helped Presdient Eisenhower realize his dream of Peace Through Understanding in today's world. We hope that this European Discovery will open new doors in the future and broaden horizons. We've said it to the students throughout the program and we'll say it again, "You are awesome!!!"  We expect to hear great things about these wonderful student ambassadors in the coming years.

Merci, Danke, Grazie, Thank You,

Ron and Karla

ROMA

Today's Focus: Ancient Roman Empire

The ancient Christian Catacombs are outside the city walls.

It's amazing to think that the ancient Colosseum, completed in 79AD, is still standing. Talk about a feat of civil engineering!

Jan, you must have very strong neck muscles to carry around all those key chains!

Karla sure does enjoy gelato. You know what they say, "When in Rome..."

Check out this t-shirt!!   He walked by as we were eating dinner. He didn't speak English but his girlfriend told us he bought the Bakersfield shirt in Slovenia.
